NRHA Nomination Fees Change
for Horses Three and Older

Oklahoma City, Okla. - December 19, 2012 - By Christa Morris - In November 2012, the National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) Board of Directors reviewed NRHA Nomination Program fees and approved the following changes to both North American (N.A.) and European (EU) portions of the program. The changes effect horses three and older, and better reflect what is known as a horse’s “futurity year” on each continent (i.e. In North America, a “futurity” horse is 3-years-old. In Europe, a “futurity” horse is a 4-year-old).
 
North American Nomination – European Option

For owners of North American nominated 3-year-olds, now is the time to add on the European Option for $3,000 versus $4,000 after January 1 as a 4-year-old.
 
* Since the NRHA European Futurity is for 4-year-olds, the 3-year-old fee was decreased slightly and the 4-year-old nomination was changed to be the highest fee as it is the competition year for NRHA European Futurity horses.
